Impressions

The author lived his Christian beliefs throughout the book — well, most of the book. Like everyone, he struggled at times. He continually treated people well, and they treated him with equal kindness. He frequently found himself in situations where he placed his trust in God and sought the power of prayer from friends and family.

Who Should Read It?

Anyone interested in travel and culture should read this book. I think it also has a great deal to say about those who profess a Christian identity. Many make this claim but do not try to live up to the ideals. This young man lived up to those ideals — mostly — and was handsomely rewarded for it.
